What Is Laboratory Medicine?
Although often operating behind the scenes, laboratory medicine is the cornerstone of modern diagnostics and therapeutic decision-making. It is estimated that nearly two-thirds of all medical diagnoses are either initiated or confirmed by findings from medical laboratories.
